Artist Bios

Neal Z. Shipe

Neal walks the old paths of 17th‑century Scotland, letting the lute speak in tones authentic, timeless, yet rooted fully in the present moment. Trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, he received the Aaron Shearer Scholarship for Guitar. He follows music not just as study, but as a living thread tying the ancient world to daily life today.

His work drifts gently between performance, exploration and research, and preservation through audio recordings. He supports the Lute Society of America (LSA), contributing personal research, and serving on the LSA Education Committee. Neal holds Scottish lute music close, feeling called to carry its voice forward, one performance at a time.

Analog Mountains

Since 2019, Jack Gudhart and Chris Fulton have put out a steady stream of genre-hopping recordings as Analog Mountains. Their debut self-titled EP, follow up Nice EP, and various singles have crossed stylistic gaps between americana, psychedelia, synth-pop, and garage rock. Chris and Jack tie together these disparate aesthetics together with a focus on melodic basslines, memorable hooks, and thoughtful arrangement underpinned by straightforward confessional lyricism.

Drake Duffer

Drake Duffer is a classical/folk musician and composer from Winston-Salem, NC. He continues to explore different ways of writing and performing, and is a champion of new music and crossover genres. Drake holds degrees from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the Yale School of Music (Bachelor and Master, respectively). He has performed in venues ranging in style and reputation, from revered classical stages like Carnegie Hall to modern popular spots like Rockwood Music Hall. Drake is a founding member of the bands Early Gray and Discount Rothko. He is currently based in Winston-Salem, NC.
