BIO

Helen Spielman’s books have been exhibited in shows and galleries in North Carolina, New Mexico, and Michigan, and she was invited, in 2023 and 2025, to participate in the first and second End Papers Book Arts Fair at the NC Museum of Art. One of Helen’s books is in the permanent collection at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Library, and, dedicated to creating community, Helen is on the Leadership Team of Triangle Book Arts. She lives with her husband in Chapel Hill, volunteers on North Carolina’s death row, and facilitates restorative justice circles for incarcerated men who train service dogs.
