Vertical flip book with piano hinge; the Japanese characters written in white ink are asemic, that is without meaning, thus "fiction." The paper is highly textured "pulp" ostensibly colored with tea.

BIO

Creating handmade books has been my constant delight and traveling companion for the last 15 years. I discovered book arts through “The Artist as Traveler,” a workshop at Penland School of Crafts. I’m retired from my career in the Arts & Health field, and happily continue my working life as an artist, which has long included painting, drawing, and collage, as well as making artist's books.
