Meet the Artists

For the past year, three painters, Donna Stubbs, R. Scott Horner and Luna Lee Ray, combined their talents to create this body of collaborative paintings. A visual conversation developed as one artist added their ideas to canvas, then passed it along to the next artist. The results show how each painter uses inspirations from
the natural world to create dynamic surfaces of light, movement and color.

Donna Stubbs uses mixed media, collage and paint. Her work
is abstract, intuitive, and energetic. She works in response to
the materials she uses and doesn't follow a prescribed plan.
She waits for the painting to tell her where to go.

R. Scott Horner allows his work to be guided by chance and
accidental discovery. His abstract paintings embrace the
chaos and regularity, and the calm entropy that pushes and
pulls the world around us.

Luna Lee Ray is inspired by the interplay of air, water, and
light: Rain and sunshine and mist; Moisture in the air at dawn;
The charge in the air after a summer storm. She works with
both randomness and intentionality.
