Pulp / Fiction: Expanding Book and Paper Arts Beyond Traditional Boundaries |Triangle Book Arts

Missed our opening reception? No problem, come join us in welcoming our newest exhibit, "Pulp / Fiction: Expanding book and paper arts beyond traditional boundaries" displaying unique and explorative 3D art created by 17 members of the Greater Triangle NC Book Artists (TBA) and curated by Kathy Bayard. TBA is made up of book artists, bookbinders, printmakers, calligraphers, papermakers, photographers, zine makers, collage artists, and paper artists. This exhibit features book and paper art exploring paper pulp, the Pulp Fiction genre, altered books, storytelling, paper weaving and creative bookbinding. Each art piece pushes the boundaries of book art and how one envisions books, stories and paper.

Robin Harper will be running a book demo for visitors!

Discover the timeless art of bookbinding by transforming a simple stack of paper into your own handcrafted journal using a three-hole pamphlet stitch. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the essential skills of folding, piercing, and binding to create your own handmade book. Whether you want to journal, doodle or craft unique gifts, this beginner-friendly demonstration will reveal how just three holes and a single needle can unlock a world of creative possibilities.

Join us for an enlivening evening of art, community, and conversation. ✨ All are welcome. Admission is free.
