Medium: Quilt

Fabric Design “Modern Moods of Japan” by Woodrow, London, England (see quilt 23) was used as inspiration. I love the black lines that create an irregular pattern on the green or blue background.

Next I envisioned one of the oldest known quilt blocks/configurations: the Four Patch. But now with black strips interspersed, so I did just that.

It was a tedious process, but worth my time.

The results reminded me of Minecraft, a computer game my youngest grandson loves to play. So, using a quote from Shakespeare's play, Hamlet:

… to call it “Minecraft” or “Mind Craft” - that’s the question.

(“To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing them, end them”).
