Explore the graceful meeting point of art and nature in this beginner-friendly watercolor workshop.
In “Brush to Bloom: Foundations of Botanical Watercolor,” participants will be guided through foundational watercolor techniques—like washes, blending, and layering—while learning how to observe and illustrate seasonal botanicals such as fresh-cut flowers, seed pods and dried flowers. This session is both an introduction to botanical watercolor and a meditative experience rooted in the beauty of fall.
You’ll leave with a completed botanical watercolor painting, a deeper connection to the natural world, and confidence in your creative expression—whether it’s your first time holding a brush or your hundredth.

All materials provided (professional-grade watercolor paints, paper, brushes, and fresh/dried florals)
Instruction in foundational techniques & composition
Demonstration & guided painting
A relaxed, supportive environment with time for creative exploration
Optional: Bring your own materials if you prefer

Artist Bio :
Michelle-Marie is a botanical artist and creative guide with a passion for helping others reconnect with nature through art. Her watercolor practice is rooted in observation, mindfulness, and seasonal awareness, making each session both educational and nourishing for the spirit. Based in Asheville, she creates gentle containers for beginners and experienced artists alike to slow down, explore, and bloom creatively.
