Inspired by Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way, we'll gather in community and creativity each month to take our inner artist on a date. We'll share in a 30 minute meditation practice followed by 20 minutes for personal reflection and journaling - morning pages style (or any style you wish). The rotating art exhibit in MUSE Gallery will provide an inspiring backdrop to pull from and muse on.
This is a free community event and open to all, no meditation or journaling experience required! This space is especially for those who feel like artist is a scary word or doesn't apply to them as we all have an "inner artist" who wants to come out and play!
Please bring a pen, journal or paper to write on & whatever you like to mediate on/with- cushion, yoga mat, etc. chairs will be available.

These gatherings will be lightly guided by Lara Struckman, creature of the earth, weaver of words, and massage therapist. Lara has a background in interfaith community building, organic vegetable & flower farming, and earth based spiritual practice.
She has been practicing and leading various forms of meditation & grounding practices for over a decade in many formats and containers. She is rooted in somatic & trauma-informed techniques that honor the full spectrum of the human experience so that people can access their own inner resilience wherever they are and with whatever they may be showing up with. She seeks to foster an experience of warmth, curiosity, welcome, and wonder in the spaces she holds.
