Instructor : Jillian Lea

This is a mixed media art journaling class that incorporates meditation techniques. In this workshop, students will learn how to both relax with art, and to make themselves open and available for wisdom that may present itself through art. For me, these techniques provide a source of grounding and connection to my intuition and spiritual wisdom, as well as being a lot of fun and producing some beautiful art.

Class will begin with a seated meditation to get us grounded, open and available for wisdom. After grounding and clearing our minds, we will proceed to written journaling. Students will receive instruction on a selection of mixed media techniques and will create layered works on paper. Through this practice, we can transform our stresses, stories and blocks into works of art while simultaneously changing the thought patterns themselves. A variety of oracle cards will be available for inspiration throughout the workshop.
