Join us for a night of embracing all the multitudes and components of love with Carrboro Poet Laureate Liza Wolff-Francis.
There will be featured reading by Poet Laureate Liza Wolff-Francis, with additional readings from poets Abigail Browning, Shelly Lyons, and Lenny Badman.
There will be an open mic for all to follow- bring your Love poems or Anti-love poems to share!
Free event- all are welcome! Registration helpful, but not necessary.
Meet your host:
Liza Wolff-Francis is the 8th Poet Laureate of Carrboro, NC. She has an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Goddard College. She is a feminist ecopoet and has taught creative writing workshops for over a decade. Her writing has been widely anthologized and has most recently appeared in The Bombay Literary Magazine, Poets for Science: The Nature of Our Times, and Snapdragon. Her chapbook is: “Language of Crossing” about the Mexico-U.S. border and her full-length book: “48 hours down the shore” (Kelsay Books, 2024).
